STEAMED DUMPLINGS

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb ground chicken
  • 3 scallions
  • 1 can water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 2 T minced garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 3 T Maggi seasoning
  • 1 T ground pepper
  • 1 T brown sugar
  • Won ton wrappers


Condiments

  • Golden Garlic
  • Sweet Black Bean Sauce
  • Chili Dipping Sauce


Technique

  • Put chicken in processor and pulse til ground into small pieces.
  • Transfer chicken to a large bowl. Add remaining filling ingredients and mix well with hands.
  • Fill wontons with chicken mixture. Place small amount in center of wonton, moisten edges of wonton and pinch together sides to resemble a draw string purse.
  • Fill 1/3 of base of steamer with water and put on high to get water boiling. Once boiling, lightly oil steamer rack and place on top.
  • Place dumplings on steamer and steam 10 -15 minutes.
  • Transfer to serving platter and serve with Golden Garlic, Sweet Black Bean Sauce and Chili Dipping Sauce.
