STEAMED DUMPLINGS
Ingredients
- 1 ½ lb ground chicken
- 3 scallions
- 1 can water chestnuts, finely chopped
- 2 T minced garlic
- 1 egg
- 3 T Maggi seasoning
- 1 T ground pepper
- 1 T brown sugar
- Won ton wrappers
Condiments
- Golden Garlic
- Sweet Black Bean Sauce
- Chili Dipping Sauce
Technique
- Put chicken in processor and pulse til ground into small pieces.
- Transfer chicken to a large bowl. Add remaining filling ingredients and mix well with hands.
- Fill wontons with chicken mixture. Place small amount in center of wonton, moisten edges of wonton and pinch together sides to resemble a draw string purse.
- Fill 1/3 of base of steamer with water and put on high to get water boiling. Once boiling, lightly oil steamer rack and place on top.
- Place dumplings on steamer and steam 10 -15 minutes.
- Transfer to serving platter and serve with Golden Garlic, Sweet Black Bean Sauce and Chili Dipping Sauce.
