Management Team

Anne Steinbach
Founder, Chef

A graduate of Baltimore International College, School of Culinary Arts, Chef Anne Steinbach, has run a successful catering company, taught cooking, as well as worked in many different restaurants. After taking time off to get her teenage daughter into college (a successful endeavor -- now a senior at VA Tech), Anne recently returned to the culinary catering world.

Anne was disappointed in what she saw. Overbooked jobs, poor quality food, late deliveries, overpriced menus, were just some of the problems she ran into. For the quantity and frequency of their business, clients deserve quality food at competitive prices.

When you want something done right, do it yourself, the old adage goes. And that is just what Anne has done. Together with a like minded group of professionals, Anne formed the Culinary Insider, Inc., a catering company specializing in quality catering in the Washington, DC Metro area.

Anne is accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals as a Certified Food Safety Manager.

Cam McNair
Chef

Cam was chef/owner of The Pullman Restaurant in the Shenandoah Valley and chef at the highly regarded Downtown Grille in Charlottesville, Virginia prior to that. He is also known locally for his cuisine, which he prepared for the local bistro Duner's and also at Rococo's Restaurant, both in Charlottesville. Recently he was the Executive Chef at the well known 219 Restaurant in Old Town Alexandria.

Cam learned his trade in New Orleans, where he apprenticed under such renowned Commander's Palace chefs such as Emeril Lagasse and Jamie Shannon, and at Jonathan's, under Tom Cowman.

Cam is accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals as a Certified Food Safety Manager.

Serge Obolensky, CAE
VP Business Development

Starting out in New York City in the publications industry, Serge moved down to Washington in the late 80's and worked for years in the association and non-profit arena where he eventually earned the coveted Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification from the American Society of Association Executives.

Culinarily inept, Serge stays out of the kitchen and everyone is grateful for it. He instead devises and implements the Insider's business strategies including marketing, business development and "B2B" strategic alliances.
